Lot details Registration No: TMD385F Chassis No: 1A32737BW Mot Expiry: Oct 2003.
Following the 1960 acquisition of Daimler by Jaguar, the mainstay of the marque was the Daimler Sovereign, which was manufactured in Coventry in three Series from the late 1960s to the late 1980s and powered by the Jag XK based 4.2-litre engine.
According to the Tyneside vendor, this 1968-built Sovereign 4-door saloon has never been auctioned before. He tells us that the last owner, who ran the car for ten years, spent £8000 on refurbishment including have welding work professionally carried out as well as having both the 6-cylinder engine and automatic gearbox rebuilt. Apart from sharing in the old world prestige of this once Royal-endorsed marque, Daimlers of this vintage offer a luxurious ride, ample power and good value.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
