Early Landrovers are extremely desirable vehicles both to be used as classic vehicles or indeed still as a working instrument. This particular 1980 registered utility vehicle is a 109 series with the V8 petrol engine.
It is believed to have been used by a public school for trips abroad in its early days and was subsequently sold to a farmer. The present private owner purchased it in 1986 and has completed a considerably amount of work on it and believes the odometer reading of 40,653 miles to be correct from new.
About two years ago it had new tyres and replacement wheels, the engine was partially overhauled with new cam heads to 'S' specification, a new clutch, new front and rear shock absorbers, new rear springs, new front seats and it was resprayed. Since then it has only done about a thousand miles and now presents itself in extremely good condition throughout and is ready for family trips, classic shows or to be put back to work.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
