Lot details Registration No: KES250F Chassis No: 1E-21637 Mot Expiry: 2.9.2000.
This 1967 Jaguar 'E' Type 4.2 fixed head coupe was rebuilt some ten years ago and a Series III, deseamed bonnet, wings and rear wheel arch flares were fitted, as can be seen from the photograph of the car above.
At the same time it also had a complete engine rebuild by Road and Race Restorations of Little Hulton, and upon our inspection we have to say the car sounded very well. In the present owner's possession for the last three years he has spent over two thousand pounds on maintenance including the fitment of new tyres, an overhaul of the braking system, new shock absorbers, new centre exhaust system and the replacing of all the water hoses. It comes with a large documented history file confirming many of the previous owners, there is also a Heritage certificate from Jaguar and Daimler, and we are informed the car travelled down to Goodwood in June and proved to be very reliable with no hiccups whatsoever.
This sale presents a rare opportunity to acquire an 'E' Type Jaguar at a sensible price and as the car is currently road taxed the lucky new owner can enjoy driving it away from today's sale.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
