This rare Lancia Monte Carlo Spider was refurbished to a very high standard in 1996 by Autoweld Restorations of Kidderminster. The work they undertook included stripping the bodyshell to the bare metal and removing any corrosive areas, which were mainly to both corners of the boot, and replacing various panels where necessary and then repainting it in cellulose. They also completed work to the engine where they re-ground the crank and it was rebored; new pistons, new rings, new big ends, new main shells, new gaskets, a new cambelt, a new clutch, new plug leads and distributor cap were fitted and the cylinder head and block were skimmed. It also received four new shock absorbers, new brake pads and a new exhaust system.
This is a delightful, very collectible and rare car that has had approximately £7000 spent it. Need we say more!
