In 1986 one Jerry Khouri, the younger brother of Anthony and George, built three very special sporting cars, one for each of his brothers. This was the start of the Bufori Motor Car Company, an Australian manufacturer of exotic handmade sports cars.
This rare Mk2 open sports with catalytic exhaust equipped Subaru 1.8-litre motor and VW running gear was imported in 1998 by a major collector. During his ownership, though VAT was paid and, indeed, a copy of the CNE386 is on file, the car was never registered or driven on the public road. So, when acquired by the current owner at auction, the car was, in effect, brand new, with delivery mileage only.
Since then, the car has been registered with the DVLA and successfully MOT tested. When entered for this sale, the total mileage indicated was still only 750 miles and the Candy Apple Red paint and leather interior in beige are all described by the vendor as being in as new condition. He also tells us that included with the car on auction day will be Bufori Motor Company history and works specification sheets, a full set of instruction manuals and Customs entry form showing duty has been paid.
It is most unlikely that anybody else in your neck of the woods is likely to have a Bufori. This is your chance to be very exclusive indeed and for a most reasonable investment too.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
