The Porsche 911 is one of the most enduring sportscars ever produced and is still running strongly today even though it looks a tad different from the first models.
This 911E coupe was the subject of a full and complete restoration, which was supervised by the previous owner, and completed in 1999. It was stripped to a bare shell and resprayed to a superb finish, the engine and gearbox were rebuilt, a new leather interior and new carpets were fitted, the underside was newly 'schultzed', a new exhaust system was fitted, the suspension was stripped reset and rebuilt and when tested it was showing 158bhp at the flywheel. The total spent on parts and labour alone comes to over £8,000, excluding the respray, and this was completed mainly by Autofarm and 930 Motorsport, who are both acknowledged Porsche specialists.
This is a classic 911, which is still in its original left hand drive format and which has been stored in a carcoon ever since the rebuild, and we are sure most observers of this car will agree that it would be difficult to find one better. Everything works and nothing is missing, even down to the engine decals, and to find one in this condition makes it extremely rare indeed.
