This rare left hand drive Chevrolet Independant four door Sedan is believed to have had only two previous owners since it was purchased from an auction in the Midlands in 1991 when it was showing 67000 miles which was believed to be genuine from new.
The maroon coachwork has a single gold coach line and black wings and it has matching wire wheels and grey buttoned down seats with braiding and maroon carpets. It comes with all the period fittings inside and the dials for the driver are a treat as is the view over the bonnet from the bench front seat to the superb sidelamps. It has a rear luggage shelf, which may be original, the delightful rear light clusters, a single driver's side windscreen wiper and a driver's side mounted spare wheel.
It has the manual three speed gearbox and the three litre, six cylinder engine and it was fully restored some seven or eight years ago, including a re-wire. It is in superb condition throughout and completed the Monte Carlo Challenge in 1996 as well as having had many film appearances.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
