The Lamborghini marque allegedly came about because Ferruccio Lamborghini bought a Ferrari, but found it not to his liking in certain areas. When Ferrari failed to address his complaints, the air-conditioning and tractor manufacturer decided to make his own Grand Tourers instead. The logo he chose to rival Ferrari's prancing horse was the now world famous fighting bull.
We understand that this 1970 Bologna-built Espada - a right-hand drive, two-door coupe on the early Miura-type alloys - was last driven prior to being driven into a dark garage in 1986, since when it is claimed that the exotic Italian has been untouched.
The chassis looks OK and the fixed head bodywork appears sound, says the vendor, while the red paintwork is as it would be having been untouched for nineteen years. The black leather interior would clean up though, he says, although the current mechanical condition of the 3929cc capacity twelve-cylinder engine and the five-speed manual transmission is not known.
As you will see from the guide price band for this Espada, which had a believed to be genuine 34,410 total mileage displayed when entered, this particular Lamborghini could potentially be highly affordable.
