This 1926 Genestin G6 four door open tourer is a very rare survivor of the small number of cars assembled by P. Genestin at Fourmies in France in the late 1920's. Genestin was a typical local manufacturer of the post great depression era that were still able to eke out an existence in a market dominated by Peugeot, Renault and Citroen.
This particular example comes with the 1200cc four cylinder engine and is unusually in right hand drive format. It is believed to be one of only three survivors and possibly the only one still to have its original engine.
It was with its previous owner from 1987 until last year where it was dry stored in a heated garage. Upon inspection it has been very nicely restored and has the black leather seating and interior, a double duck hood and it is an attractive and rare car which appeared in 'La Vie De L'autos' almanack in 1988.
A rare and desirable car which would be an ideal addition to any collection.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
