Launched in October 1962, the 'slant-eyed' CV8 was penned by Eric Neale in consultation with the Jensen brothers, The MKII version introduced just a year later boasted greater performance and the provision of Selectaride adjustable rear dampers. The vendor of the MKII 'AOK 560B' purchased it from an H&H Buxton sale in 1996, following which it saw very little use before being stored for 13 years. The right-hand drive CV8 was finally awakened from its slumber this year and treated to the following level of recommissioning: a general service; the brakes stripped and cleaned; the front floors and rear valance welded as required; the bonnet stripped to the gel coat and repairs carried out. The Jensen is finished in Royal Blue and trimmed in contrasting Beige hide. The vendor now rates the car's fibreglass bodywork, 6.3-litre V8 engine and three-speed automatic transmission as "very good" and the interior trim as "good".

PLEASE NOTE: The vendor informs us that the chassis number and engine number visible on this lot match those shown on its registration document. As well as having its brake servo overhauled, the Jensen was treated to new discs / pads all-round and refurbished brake callipers. The starter motor was rejuvenated and the exhaust system renewed from the manifolds back. The interior door panels were both recovered and a fresh battery installed. Although not currently fitted, the C-V8 is accompanied by its original bumpers and road wheels plus two spare Rostyle wheels.
