Introduced in 1931, the Chevrolet AE Independence was powered by a 50hp / 194ci (3180cc) version of the marque's famous 'Stovebolt Six' OHV engine. First UK road registered as 'BS 9807' on 18th October 1989, the early history of this particular right-hand drive example is unknown. Finished in Red over Black with Red upholstery and riding on recently powder-coated wheels, the four-door tourer is described by the vendor as "very straight" and as possessing "very good/fair" bodywork, paintwork and interior trim. He also tells us that (a) the six-cylinder OHV engine "starts instantly and runs fine", (b) the three-speed manual gearbox "functions as it should" and (c) "all the tyres are legal and not very old so the vehicle is pretty much ready for the road. Though, it is not currently taxed or tested". This appealing Chevy is being sold with a new battery, two repair manual and two spare wheels.
