Lot details Registration No: PP 7981 Chassis No: 13210 Mot Expiry: None
One of four cars entered from a small private collection in the Orkney Isles we are pleased to offer this right hand drive 1929 Ford Model 'A' Phaeton which was imported from South Africa a few years ago.
The previous owner spent a considerable sum on the steering and the brakes with Belchus Garage in Suffolk, as well as giving attention to the gears and transmission at the same time. It has a good quiet engine, which pulls and starts well, but "breathes" a little and hence may need a slight overhaul for top performance.
Although cosmetically it is only in average condition, it comes with good lamps and an excellent interior leather trim, side screens and hood, wind deflectors to the windscreen, good tyres and a cover to the spare wheel.
The owner, who has owned many model 'A's says this is the best he has ever driven and it is a pleasure to drive and is completely rust-free to the underside. A rare and desirable early tourer which comes with the V5 registration document confirming the registration PP 7981.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
