During the six years of the production for the DB6 Volante, from 1965 until 1971, only 215 models left the Aston Martin factory and today these cars are highly prized in many collections throughout the world.
We are very pleased to offer you today this rare and excellent 1968 example which is one of the collection of cars from the Stafforshire area. The car was originally sold to Lady Wolfson and in September 1971 it was sold again from the showrooms of H.R. Owen Ltd whose identity plate appears on the kick plates. Since then, although it has not been used much, it has been enjoyed and always been garaged and serviced when needed.
Cars of this quality and in this condition are becoming increasingly harder to find and this particular automatic version is believed to have completed a mere 39,000 miles from new, which can be substantiated by documents found in the cars history file. Included in the sale there is a service book, showing that the odometer was changed at 29,000 miles as well as an excellent history file which includes an insurance valuation of £100,000.
Truly a delightful car in lovely condition throughout.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
