PLEASE NOTE: We apologise but this vehicle is withdrawn from the 21st June 2014 auction.
The accompanying BMIHT Heritage Certificate records this left hand drive example as being despatched on 23rd October 1958 and shipped via Avonmouth to supplying dealer United Auto Sales of Baltimore, USA aboard the SS New York City. Originally painted in Primrose Yellow with Black leather trim and White hood the car has at some stage been repainted in White and trimmed in Black vinyl.
Recently imported back to the UK, it is also accompanied by a US Certificate of Title from the state of Maryland dated 6th August 1970. Stored for the past five or six years the vendor advises the bodywork is "very solid", the engine runs well, the interior is "good" and ideally the car requires repainting but that only a minimal amount of work is required to return it to the road. Displaying some 60,000 miles on its odometer it will be offered with NOVA certification confirming registration in the UK as being a formality.
