This Rambler, a 1964-manufactured Station Wagon, is claimed to be totally original both inside and out, having only clocked up a believed to be genuine 43,000 miles from new. As a rust-free vehicle from Virginia it was imported in 1997 by a previous owner from the US, where it only ever had one owner, being acquired directly from his estate.
An original radio has survived - indeed, the only change from ex-factory specification is conversion to run satisfactorily on unleaded. The entrant tells us that it is superb to drive and is also economical. On file are Virginia Title paperwork and the original sales booklet, whilst there is a V5 and the MOT is current until next May.
For all you budding antique dealing Lovejoys, here is a far more interesting alternative to the standard issue Volvo estate. A 1964-vintage Rambler would also make a suitable period tow car for our historic race and rally car clients, and would be a very different set of wheels for the Goodwood paddock.
