Lot details

Registration No: MNN 616D
Frame No: 125Li104794
MOT: Exempt

  • SX200 evocation registered as a 125cc scooter
  • A ‘no expenses spared’ evocation
  • V5C ready for the road

This SX200 evocation is based on an Li125 chassis with clear numbers as such and utilises an absolute myriad of enhancements to create a fabulous and unique overall machine.

Our vendor is a very particular collector and has commissioned all of his scooters to the highest possible specification. One thing unusual is that he despite his love for Lambrettas he has never had a license to ride and therefore all of his scooters are virtually unused. This scooter has been used but only very slightly. Following the MOTs to hand, sometimes only doing less than 10 per year the speedometer was replaced in 2018 for a new SIP digital version which is showing only 188 miles. This scooter was sourced by, and the complete customisation was entrusted to Chris King of Classic Lambrettas, Nottingham who were well known for high end spec restorations.

Owned since 2010 our vendor embarked upon a project to create an SX200 evocation with a difference. With bags of chrome, spotless condition and almost new high performance mechanics it really is impressive in our view. With a fully rebuilt 225cc engine it was tested on the dyno (results attached) which showed 17HP. With genuine 30mm Dellorto carburettor and Sterling exhaust the scooter is in fine running order as can be see by the accompanying video. Other mechanical features include a long range fuel tank, reverse pull front disc brake, spoked wheels, and BGM front dampers. Other modifications include a 12v car lighter output for a phone or satnav, SIP digital speedo and an extra size 12v battery. All of the lights, spotlights and fog lights we understand to be working. There is also a phone or satnav waterproof holder. Decoratively many parts are chromed including side panels, wheels and hubs, inside leg shield glove box and much more. Other accessories include a useful 3 in 1 rear rack, spare wheel holder and back rest, clear smoked bubble screen and another auxiliary fuel tank within the spare wheel. The seat cover and back rest pad are custom made. One needs to study the attached pictures to understand the detail and planning that has been made to achieve a scooter of this working standard and appearance. It is priced with an auction estimate of a fraction of the cost to have commissioned.
