1986 Porsche 911 Carrera

Sold for £11,250

(including buyers premium)

Lot details
Registration No: D453UGD
Chassis No: WPOZZZ912G5103560
Mot Expiry: Nov 2005

Launched in 1964 by Porsche, the evergreen 911 was constantly modified and uprated for more than thirty years. The layout was very similar to that already employed for the preceding 356 model with air-cooled engine at the back and torsion bar springing. Macpherson struts were fitted to the front and trailing arms to the rear. By 1984, the base engine had been enlarged from the 130bhp 2-litre to 3.2 for the 911 Carrera; in 230bhp SE spec, good for 0-60mph in 6.1 sec and 143mph.
This 911, a right-hand drive Carrera 3.2, first left the Stuttgart factory 8 August 1986. Following the renewal of both front wings earlier in the year, the current condition of the two-door bodyshell is described by the entrant as being good with the blue metallic paintwork also rated as good and the blue leather trimmed interior lovely. The flat-six motor, traditional to Porsche, and the five-speed manual transmission as well as the electrical equipment are also all said to be in good order.
The 128,000 mileage displayed on the odometer when entered for the sale is believed by the vendor to be the correct total for the coupe from new, whilst the latest MOT certificate will be valid until November. As he says, this is a very nice 911, which has the benefit of some good history on file - check out car and paperwork for yourself during viewing. For as with all the other vehicles in the sale, all available documents may be inspected at our documents office at the auction venue.
