- This is probably one of the best Indian Chief's that is currently available outside the USA

- A wonderful history and very low owners

- Multi show winner in the USA

- Fully restored and in Excellent condition

Some 50 years ago, according to the history file, this Indian Chief was purchased from Barrie automotive flea market in Ontario, Canada by Samuel H. High III (deceased). Samuel High issued a document (on file) to the next owner in June 2003, to substantiate these details, including the colour of the motorbike and the correct VIN number. Samuel H. High III was well regarded in the motorcycle community and achieved significant awards on the show circuit with this Indian Chief. There are two plaques mounted on the bike, "Senior" National first prize, 1979, and the ultimate Grand National winner, 1983.

Tony along with his close friend Tim- the registered keeper, purchased the bike in circa 2000 from a show at Hershey, USA from Samuel High, after a c30 year ownership due to his advancing age. (Photos of the bike at Hershey when purchased are on file from circa 2000).

Tony owned one of the best tooling companies in Canada and had a dream of taking the 46 Indian across Canada "from coast to coast". So, a no expense spared, full mechanical rebuild was undertaken. The bike ran well previously, but he wanted to ensure it would be bullet-proof and enhanced for the trip. All the best parts were used including; a "King clutch, electronic ignition, (hidden inside the original distributor) all new bearings and bushings, rebuilt speedo, four speed transmission (a period option) rebuilt Bonneville carb and more". During these works no paintwork was undertaken, however, it still looks stunning to this day.

This is a unique striking number matching bike and comes with loads of factory extras, including the panniers purchased from the main dealer. The bike comes with its title document and Nova letter already for registering and is accompanied by a large file.

Sadly, the registered keepers close friend Tony became unwell and was not able to fulfil his dream of the Coast to Coast ride, although the bike remains trip ready. As a result, the bike was returned to Tim and there it remained at his beautiful home in Niagara falls for nearly ten years, in his lounge. (It was started and ran regularly doing small trips - only covering less than 100 miles since rebuild).

Tim, now advanced in age and in poor health, noted in a recent letter, "Ps. It was very hard for me to let this bike go I am still trying to get over it".

For all its 73 years this powerful, iconic 1200cc motorbike has been cherished by men who had a real love for this motorcycle.
