Mot Expiry: T.B.A.
Although, it began life as a 1977 911SC 3.0 litre 'K-series' car (or so the quoted chassis number would imply), this very special Porsche was rebuilt to a far wilder specification by Phil Hindley of Tech 9 Motorsport (Liverpool) in 2000. Intended for both fast road and track day usage, '111 LAW' is powered by a supercharged 3.2 litre SOHC flat-six allied to five-speed manual transmission. More commonly associated with small- or big-block V8 installations, its Paxton 2000 blower is reputedly capable of providing up to 27psi boost (though, most set-ups run at a far more manageable 8psi). Boasting a unique impeller design and compact scroll housing, the centrifugal unit is fed via a giant intercooler. In view of its dramatically enhanced performance potential, the car's monocoque bodyshell, four-wheel independent suspension and servo-assisted brakes were all substantially upgraded. Thus, '111 LAW' sports a front strut brace, triangulated roll-over bar, stiffer dampers, larger discs and 18inch alloys. Visually enhanced by bespoke bumpers (including a front splitter), sideskirts and a twin-aerofoil rear spoiler, the car also benefits from a revamped interior featuring high-back sports seats, 'carbon fibre' dash inserts, 911 monogrammed footwell mats, aluminium pedals and a MOMO steering wheel (complete with spoke-mounted stopwatch). Finished in Safety Orange with black / grey leather upholstery, this extravagantly customised Porsche appears to be in very good overall condition. Representing one man's vision of the ultimate road-going 911, '111 LAW' is offered for sale at a fraction of its build cost.
