The VBC ‘Super’ range of Vespas were the immediate successors to the VNA/VBB range. They had a larger rear light and a more angular modern shape than the VBB. Made from 1965 up until 1979 they were arguably the best selling Vespa scooter of all across the world until the P range. There were numerous changes over the VBB overall including; larger brake shoes and drums and ignition. It was a competent scooter with over half a million sold in the long production run.
This striking 150 Super ‘Pretty In Pink’ was gifted to our lady vendor by her ex-partner over 15 years ago. Since then in these 15 years she has only used it occasionally. It has only 1844 miles on the speedometer believed to be the correct mileage done since she was given it. It was painted in pearlescent pink by KAS Racepaints with murals and with small metal flake which glistens in the sun. KAS was famous at the height of scooter customisation in the 1990-2000s and more recently with work done on many prize winning custom and racing scooters and was a regular supplier of paintwork services to Armandos Scooters. KAS is still active today. Mechanically the scooter was apparently restored at the time of customisation too. There are regular MOTs from 2011 to 2017 showing good maintenance until it became MOT exempt. It has been shown at The Isle Of Wight scooter rally where it apparently drew large crowds of admirers. Registered as a 125, it is showing correct numbers for a 150 Super. We believe that the white side panel rubbers are hiding the normal engine chassis staring under left side panel but it is repeated on a plate under the seat.
The scooter is supplied with genuine official Piaggio pink Vespa helmet in size large we believe, and also matching pink gloves as pictured and matching pink scooter key fob. There is also a protective seat cover and the white wall tyres and rubbers are still in very clean condition. There is also a spare can of pink paint supplied. The scooter is still in marvellous general condition and started readily for our consultant.
