Mercedes-Benz introduced the 190 Fintail saloon in 1961 and you could order them with the 1897cc or 1988cc engine. It was the replacement for the good old 180 saloon but came with the latest angular styling and more interior space.
The example we have for you today must be one of the last manufactured as 1965 was the last year for this particular model and it was purchased for the television programme 'Rick Mayall Presents' about five years ago by Granada Television. They still own the vehicle and interestingly enough it was actually one of a pair but the other one was fired from a cannon straight into Salford Quays as part of the programme content.
It is described as being in good condition throughout and comes with the 1897cc 4-cylinder engine and the manual transmission at it is being sold today entirely without reserve.
