This handsome righthand-drive Basalt Black 996 Series Turbo has been in its current ownership since 2016, and is considered by the vendor to be ‘very good’ in regard to its bodywork, paintwork, interior trim, flat-six engine and transmission. The current recorded mileage is 64,500 and the Porsche has just been treated to a minor service. This rapid but highly usable classic is now being offered complete with: interior carbon pack; Tracker (a fresh subscription will be required); owner’s manuals and service book; and large collection of invoices for work carried out over the years. The all-wheel drive 996 Turbo debuted at the 1999 Frankfurt Salon and is powered by a water-cooled, twin-turbo, flat-six engine of 3.6-litres, that’s a direct development of the Le Mans-winning Porsche GT1 of the previous year. The unit’s output is a suitably substantial 414bhp and 415lb ft of torque – sufficient for a 0-60mph time of 4.2 seconds and 190mph top speed.
