Built in 1974 and supplied by specialist dealers Van der Steen, the example offered today is an extremely rare right hand drive model which was the subject of a feature article in Classic and Sportscar in February 1987, where it was road tested by Richard Sutton, who is better known as the TV presenter of 'Deals on Wheels'.
A powerful car by any standards it is equipped with the Ford Cobra Jet engine which delivers no less than 325 bhp. It has been well maintained and apparently had little use over the years as it formed part of the collection of specialist race car dealer Tony Hildebrand. It has latterly resided in a small private collection. Whilst the mileage at the time of its last MOT was recorded as 37806 miles, it has done very few miles since, and with old MOT's going back to 1993, research may well verify it as correct, especially as the condition of the car would indicate that it has had very little use.
It is fitted with a stainless steel exhaust and has the automatic gearbox. This is a chance to buy a superbly styled Bertone creation at pedestrian saloon car money.
