When Ferrari introduced the Dino 308 GT4 at Paris in October 1973 it had, for it or against it depending on your point of view, three firsts. It was the first production V8 from Ferrari; it was their first try at a mid-engined 2+2 and the first time, for the best part of twenty years, that Pininfarina had not designed the bodywork and the reasons behind choosing Bertone has never been properly explained.
We are pleased to offer this lovely example, which has spent nearly twenty years of its life in a museum in Denmark from the early 1980's until last year. The mileage of 37,000 miles is described as being correct from new and it comes with air conditioning, electric windows and has, as far as we are aware, always carried its present UK registration. It has recently been re-commissioned and was driven from Switzerland to London after which a full service was carried out with new cam belts and a new water pump being fitted.
The museum was climate controlled and so the interior is simply like new and these 'baby' Ferraris have always been extremely practical and stunning value for money.
