In 1946 the Red Hunters became the first models to feature Ariel's new telescopic front fork, and the following year could be ordered with the optional Anstey Link plunger rear suspension. A new duplex loop frame with swinging-arm rear suspension was adopted for 1954 and the 500cc VH gained an alloy 'head at the same time (a feature the 350cc NH would not enjoy until the 1956 range was announced).
This example was purchased by the vendor in April 1983 and is said to be "original and complete". Although the brightwork is in "poor" condition, its mechanical condition is described as "fair" with the engine turning over and the gearbox selecting gears. The frame and cycle parts are also said to be "fair". The machine is offered with Swansea V5 and expired MoT.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
