Lot details Registration No: BDR 373 Chassis No: AM10110093 Mot Expiry: T.B.A.
This delightful and rare Maserati Sebring S2 coupe was previously owned by Yip Theodore, of motor racing fame and then by Gus Bierman a well known Dutchman and keen collector and historian of Maserati and Ferrari cars. It is one of only seven right hand drive examples manufactured and was the most expensive car of its time and that is including all the models from Rolls-Royce.
It was re-imported by the previous owner in 1990 when he set about completing a total rebuild, at vast expense, which took the best part of the succeeding six years. All the bodywork, which was changed from the original Gold to its present Red, and the chassis, engine and interior were all restored. It has not been used for some while though and will need some re-commissioning but it still has its original Borani wheels and the original Lucas injection system. There is also a good history file which includes copies of the restoration invoices.
A must for any serious Maserati collection.
Please note: The owner of this vehicle was contacted by Swansea last week to inform him that this car has a cherished registration number attached to it. We are not certain at this stage whether the number is transferable at this time but the V5 will be forwarded to the new owner as soon as we receive it.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
