They purchased it from the previous owner who had owned the car since 1988. In May 2011 the brake system was overhauled, discs replaced and callipers refurbished by Big Red. At the same time, stainless-steel high-pressure hoses were fitted and the oil reserve to engine hose was replaced. There are numerous receipts dating back to 1999 to the current. In 2016 the car was subjected to a refurbishment costing in excess of £6000 which included overhauls of the gearbox, clutch and engine.
