Up until 1928 most Renault six cylinder engines had capacities of three litres and above so the little one and a half litre six cylinder for this new model was something new and designed with a purpose. The last of the famous 'Taxis de la Marne' had been made in 1920 and Paris needed a replacement and soon the generally green painted 'Monasix' became a familiar sight on the streets of the French capital.
This particular example has been entered from a significant collection in Ireland and he has owned the car for the last ten or eleven years. It has only been infrequently used, which is why it is now for sale, and it is generally good condition throughout with winkers fitted for ease of driving on modern roads but it is currently without an MOT certificate.
Plentiful these may have been in their day they are now extremely rare sights but they are pretty and extremely reliable and simply tremendous value for money.
Please note: We have not heard this vehicle running.
