A phrase and saying that can be often used in the classic car world is the one that says 'imitation is the sincerest form of flattery'. There has been for many years a very healthy market in replicas because people cherish a particular car but cannot afford the real thing and the more important the model the more often it has been copied.
Styled on the Ferrari Daytona Spyder, one of the most desirable cars in the world, Southern Roadcraft used the Daimler XJ6 series running gear to make a custom chassis with modified Jaguar suspension, steering and rear axle and a blueprinted Rover 3.9 engine to create this stunning replica. All of the mechanical parts were either new or re-conditioned with the exception of the engine and gearbox and the body was prepared and painted by Foxes Badger Mount with a final set up being completed by Sussex Kits. There is a detailed breakdown of the costs involved in the building of this exceptional car and totals in excess of £33,000 and it is in quite stunning condition throughout and we are informed that it drives very well.
Stunning looks, great performance and everybody staring at you because they believe you have one of the most desirable cars in the world. Great if you're single.
