This fabulous Spitfire has bought new by a Mr Edwards of Chislehurst who kept the car untii 1994 when it passded to Mr Wood of Huntigdon. The vendor aquired the car in 1998. Documentation on file shows the car was treated to a cadulac rust process from new which may explain the current structural condition. The engine was replaced under warranty in spring 1978. in 1981 it was fitted with a Janspeed exhaust manifold , exhaust and twin silencers. . In 1986 it was treated to sgnificant work by Eagle racing in Kent.
