The Austin Seven on offer still has its 1930s nickel radiator and headlamps on the front wings, while the original body was replaced with faithfully recreated van coachwork hand-built by John Heath's workshop. The vehicle has carried this bodywork since late 1970s and, in this form, successfully took part in the Austin Seven Monte Carlo Rally in the 1980s. Following acquisition by the present owner in 1983, a full renovation was carried out, the vehicle being very nicely painted in his own business livery with gold leaf and his butcher's logo on the front doors. Although other replica vans have been produced over the years, many don't look right. This one, however, does.
According to the London entrant, the 1930-built Austin Seven chassis is altogether sound, the van bodywork, brown paintwork and black interior trim all reportedly in very good condition, and both 4-cylinder A7 750cc engine and 3-speed manual gearbox said to be in good order. Your enterprise needs this very period looking and highly effective promotional vehicle.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
