The 250cc Mk 11 Pursang first seen in October 1977 introduced some significant changes for the model and paved the way for the reed valve Mk 12 that would follow. Developed from Spanish National Champion, Tony Elias machine, it featured an engine with revised dimensions. The 72 x 60mm bore and stroke was changed to 70 x 64mm fed by a 38 mm Amal carburettor instead of the 36mm Bing previously employed and a high level exhaust system was introduced, all previous machines having relied on a low system with an up-swept end. A new gearbox with revised ratios was fitted and the rear frame geometry was changed.
The new model was offered in blue with red stripes as worn by the example offered here which appears to be in very good original condition.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
