This much sought after Healey Silverstone Replica has been entered from Derbyshire from where, the vendor has informed us, it originally started life in 1951 as a Tickford saloon and over the years it has been converted into a Silverstone.
During its transformation all the mechanical aspects have been totally overhauled. A Jaguar 2400cc engine has been fitted which has been re-stroked with new crankshafts, re-bored and new pistons fitted and it now displaces 2800 litres with the two 2" 'E'-type carburettors fitted. The bodywork has been fabricated from 16 gauge aluminium and the grille from brass, the car's cockpit was retrimmed in tan leather, a double duck tonneau cover was made and there is also a full width retractable windscreen with the car as well as the aero screens that can be seen on the photograph.
The car is described as being in very good condition and with the sale comes a current V5 registration document and it is great value and ready to drive away from the sale today.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
You can collect your new pride and joy from our venue until 1pm the day following the sale or our partners are on hand to help arrange safe transportation:
