Lot details Registration No: C52 GVR Chassis No: SCBZSOT09GCH15435 Mot Expiry: 30.5.2004
The Bentley Turbo R being auctioned here was delivered to main agents Evans Halshaw, being supplied to Barnett International of Wolverhampton and first registered C940 YUE in March 1986. Painted in Royal Blue and trimmed in magnolia piped in dark blue carpets by the factory, the high performance 4-door saloon was also supplied with dark blue carpets, wool over-rugs, rear footrests and Sony CDX radio/CD player.
After some 5000 miles, in October 1986, it was sold on to Londoner S Shields and, after another 22,000 miles, it was acquired by F Timms and Company of Leigh, Lancashire, in March 1990, when the private plate 910 STE was put on the car. When sold to M&A Demolitions in early 1993, by when the total mileage had risen to 65,000 miles (though the speedometer was renewed at 58,000 miles), the plate was retained and, via being allocated C52 GVR, it was plated with the cherished registration BIL 656.
In 1995, car and registration were purchased by Eastend Foods, who took the mileage to 89,000 by December 2002, when, with the current C52 GVR plate re-issued, it was acquired by the Cheshire vendor who has only driven it about 1000 miles. The fullest service details with mileages have been summarised in the history file. Body and paintwork are said to be very good, interior excellent, and turbocharged V8 and 4-speed automatic transmission both in very good order.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
