`Trying to drive one of these open-wheel electro-pods without grinning is a bigger challenge than stretching the range above 50 miles. It gets looks wherever it goes - even from the cynical, hurried British motorist, and it's not the sort of sneering jibes that something else with scissor doors (Lamborghini Aventador, anyone?) might attract. Children point, white van men beep cheerfully, and elderly drivers double take like H.G. Wells' extra-terrestrial invasion has made landfall in Cambridgeshire' (CAR magazine, Ollie Kew, December 2013).

Offered for sale with clear title by order of the High Court, this particular example has formed part of an extensive London-based private collection since new. Purchased from Renault London West for £8,920, its specification included the larger 13KW electric motor, a Sky Roof, scissor doors, Parrot Bluetooth and Twizy windows. An HPi check reveals that (a) the Renault has had no former keepers and (b) it is not recorded on their stolen, finance, security watch or insurance write off databases. As with any Twizy, you could buy the vehicle itself from Renault but only lease its battery pack. As such, the next owner will have to enter into a new rental agreement with the manufacturer in order to make `T5 AAA' mobile again.

PLEASE NOTE: This lot does not have a MOT certificate. It appears to be fitted with a discharged battery pack the rental agreement for which expired after three years in August 2016. The digital odometer seems to show 41.0 miles.
