Armstrong Siddeley produced the eighteen horsepower Whitley saloon between the years of 1949 and 1954 and they came with a variety of body styles but in general were much more sporting affairs than the Lancaster which was available from 1945 until 1952.
This particular example has only had four owners from new and indeed was completely stripped and rebuilt several years ago, there are a number pictures taken during this period in the history file, and it is now described as being in very good condition throughout. The odometer is showing 46000 miles, which is believed to be genuine from new, and it is being sold today with a spare set of new tyres and its original buff logbook.
This is now a rare car but they have lovely lines and are a great saloon to use or to show - we will let you make your mind up which you want to do with this particular lovely example.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
