No other car epitomised the flamboyance of American car design more than the 1959 Cadillac but don't be confused, the high wings have no aerodynamic purpose it was purely a lovely design. It is recognized as the ultimate expression of fin design and many photographs still feature rear fins as being the zenith of automotive design.
This particular design came in various levels with the De Ville model having that name scripted on the rear fender. They all had the 6400cc eight cylinder engine and this particular example has a lovely original interior, complete with the original dash mat and it has had a recent full respray in dark green and we are informed the car looks absolutely stunning.
It is presently tested until February next year and is still in its original left hand drive format and we are absolutely certain that this car will be admired wherever it goes.i
