Lot details Registration No: UU 7314 Chassis No: 16735 Mot Expiry: None
In the late 1920's Stutz produced an eight-cylinder Blackhawk speedster which dominated the US racing scene, but this particular model was the less expensive six-cylinder car which was launched as a separate marque in 1929.
This original right hand drive car has, we have been informed, been in the UK since it was new and is still in very original condition throughout and exceptionally rust free to the underside. A very powerful car with the four litre overhead camshaft 85bhp six-cylinder engine, it has excellent steering and brakes, but the vendor informs us that they do need bleeding at the moment due to having stood for some while.
This car, which also forms part of the collection from the Orkney Isles, was used for weddings up until late 1999 but the original ignition switch does not work and a temporary one has been fitted.
It is a lovely car with an excellent patina and we are informed that it comes with all its original log books and history which can be viewed in the documentation office prior to the sale.
PLEASE NOTE: The estimate was incorrectly printed and should have been £8000 - £10000.
