This now rare saloon has been a locally owned car from new. The first owner in 1963 was the 'Derbyshire Times' from Chesterfield and at that time it was chauffeur driven. The second owner purchased the car in 1966 from Kennings, the Austin main agents, of Clay Cross and in the documentation file there is a invoice for £575. It has only covered a mere 43000 miles from new and since 1966 the documents in the history file makes one believe that it is still with the same family. From 1991 until February of this year the car was dry stored and it has only recently been re-commissioned for use on the road.
It has been described to us as being in very good condition throughout and in the car's history file there is various information including a registration valuation from Elite Registrations for £2000 for the number, an Austin Westminster handbook/workshop manual and there are many other spares in the boot of the car.
This is a very desirable car with low mileage and locally owned from new and the vendor has informed us that it sounds and drives very well and feels sure that the new owner will be very pleased with his purchase.
