In discussions with the Armstrong Siddeley Owners Club, who by the way were very helpful and would welcome the new owner with open arms, we seem to have unearthed a car of which they were not aware existed prior to my phone call.
We are offering a delightfully presented car from the North-East of England which we are informed is in excellent condition throughout having had a substantial amount of restoration over the years. It still bears what would seem to be its original registration number - AVC 121 and it has a good history file which still includes the original buff logbook.
Although we are not certain at this time what engine is actually fitted as we have not been able to view the car, we believe it to be the 12 horse power six cylinder example and not the fifteen horsepower example. It has the very practical six light bodywork which is beautifully set off in its two tone colour scheme.
A rare and desirable pre-war saloon in lovely condition.
Please note: We have not been able to hear this car running as there is no fuel pump. There is apparently a new one on its way and if it arrives it will be posted to the new owner. Also this car was entered a having twelve months MOT as the owner was going to accomplish this - he hasn't and therefore we offer it without a current MOT.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
