Lot details Registration No: GD 1103 Chassis No: 106261 Mot Expiry: Exempt
In 1923, the Morris Oxford's engine was enlarged from 1548 to 1802cc and in 1925 the increasingly popular model was endowed with a longer wheelbase and four-wheel braking system. The attractive-looking example now offered has had just two owners from 1985, the last of which was evidently an active member of the Bullnose Morris Club, who rallied `GD 1103' extensively both at home and abroad until ill health prevented further such activity. The venerable right-hand drive Morris features Maroon bodywork matched to Black interior trim. The car currently displays an unwarranted 47,769 miles and the vendor classes the bodywork and four-cylinder engine as `good/original', the three-speed transmission as `good', the paintwork as `good but with some areas in need of touching up', the electrical wiring as `new', and the interior trim as `sound, but worn in places'. The Oxford's history is apparently well documented and its file includes the car's first ever log book.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
