Lot details Registration No: 995 ARV Chassis No: D22B142616 Mot Expiry: T.B.A.
According to the vendor, this deceptively fast Ford won the 2012 Malta Grand Prix hillclimb outright against far more regal competition. It had apparently had just one keeper and covered a mere 42,000 miles before entering the current ownership and being converted for competition use at a cost of over £12,000 for parts alone. The original engine was supplanted by a 2.0-litre Ford Focus ST170 unit, and overhauled and upgraded with: ultimate rally cams, knife edge crankshaft and big wing sump. The VVT system was replaced by Genvy throttle bodies, digital engine management and a 105 speed exhaust manifold. The vendor informs us that the Anglia now produces 196bhp at the wheels - sufficient to achieve 114mph in 3rd and 144mph in top. The gearbox, clutch, differential, brakes, suspension and wheels have all been commensurately upgraded. Apparently street legal, '995 ARV' is ready for somebody else to enjoy on road and track.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
