The Mini will always be identified with all that was great about British car manufacturing - innovative, daring and immensely clever. They took over the world in virtually ever department but especially in racing and, unbelievably, Minis are still being produced today.
This lovely 1990 example was the first production Cooper 'S' and one of only 1000 Rover Special Production cars. Rover Cars Ltd handed over ownership of the car to John Cooper Garages in 1991 and from then it became John Cooper's personal car. All the modifications to bring it up to 'S' specification were carried out at John Cooper Garages, which consisted of a modifed cylinder head by Janspeed, twin 1.25 SU carburettors and filter box, an alloy rocker cover among others and is also fitted with a John Cooper Sports Handling Pack and there is a certificate endorsed by John Cooper himself.
The car featured in Mini World Magazine, Autocar and Motor Magazine and clippings of all those articles are included in the history file along with bills, the V5 registration document and the current MOT certificate. This is a wonderful car with a tremendous pedigree and history!
