H&H are proud to be able to offer a professionaly restored example of this scarce and highly collectable childs pedal car. This model was based on the supercharged twin-cam Austin Seven pre-war racer and was produced in the same factory as the better-known J40 pedal car in South Wales, employing disbaled miners. Introduced in 1949, the model was only produced for one year, hence its scarcity today. Made from pressed steel (which incidentally is of the same gauge as used for full size Austin cars of the period) and in cream livery with red '5' decals and grille on this example. Detachable bonnet held in place by two leather straps and original Dunlop cord pneumatic tyres on red painted metal hubs. Crimson padded leathercloth seat and detailed dashboard instruments with woodrim three spoke sterering wheel. This example has chrome bumpers and is missing only a windscreen to complete. Fabulous example and exceptionally attractive.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
