In July 1926 Miss. Marjorie Cottle undertook a tour around the coast of Great Britain on her 1.74 hp Raleigh motor cycle. The tour only took her 10 days! Here we have a poster in the form of a map showing her route, with a picture of her, well wrapped up and astride the machine. (Does AU 8497 still exist I wonder?) A poster advertising her appearance at a dealer's between 2 and 5 on the 9th July and some photo-copies from period magazines and a letter to John Atkins about the items from The Classic Motor Cycle dated 3rd September 1987. The things people used to do!
