Lot details
Registration No: EU-Reg
Chassis No: VA30909DLO
Mot Expiry: None

The Dolomite was the final addition to Triumph's `Ajax' small car range that began with the 1300 in 1965. It employed the longer bodyshell of the 1500 mated to the running gear from the rear-wheel drive Toledo. Power came from the company's 1854cc slant-four engine. The Sprint was the performance version with 1998cc engine topped with a 16-valve head, upgraded transmission, brakes, suspension etc. Its performance was impressive - 0-60mph in 8.4 seconds and a top speed of 120mph.

This smartly-presented Dolomite Sprint has benefited from a considerable degree of detailed work, including the fitting of: a 12-blade water pump, Facet fuel pump, Pacet electric fan, Lumenition ignition system, stainless steel exhaust, Quaife limited slip differential, braided stainless brake hoses front and rear, fully adjustable Spax suspension with Polybush replacement bushes wherever possible, plus a new heater and tyres. `ZV 9787' was also treated to a bare metal respray and is now considered by the vendor to have "very good bodywork", and "good" Red, White and Blue paintwork, Black fabric interior trim, SOHC engine and manual overdrive gearbox. The Sprint comes complete with a large history file including photos of work done, lots of invoices for parts and labour, and a selection of old MOTs. The indicated mileage is an unwarranted 66,000.
