  • Offered in the attractive combination of Black with matching Black leather/ Dark Maple interior
  • Impressive specification including Harmon-Kardon sound, climate control, cruise control, ‘Penta’ alloys and more
  • In previous ownership for 17 years

Penned by Geoff Lawson and stylistically indebted to its XJ6 (X300) predecessor, the XJ8 (X308) was launched in 1997. Powered by a new generation of 3.2 or 4.0 litre AJ-V8 engines, The X308 would soon see an XJR deritavite, powered by a supercharged version of Jaguar’s 4.0-litre AJ-V8 engine which, with an output of 370bhp, was capable of powering the luxury saloon to 60mph from a standstill in 5.6 seconds and on to an electronically-limited top speed of 155mph.

Presented in the attractive combination of Black with matching Black leather interior, this particular XJR benefits from an impressive specification including a part-wood steering wheel with dark maple veneers, electrically adjustable sports seats, climate control, cruise control, optional cupholder armrest, Premium Harmon-Kardon audio with CD multichanger, five-spoke ‘Penta’ alloys, mudflaps, telephone connectivity with separate Bluetooth unit and more.

‘T185 TRH’ was purchased by the vendor in March 2023 on impulse, but on reflection has decided he will not use the car and therefore has decided to re-offer this attractive XJR for sale. The previous owner had looked after the car for the last 17 years; with servicing undertaken in recent years by a classic car specialist friend. Now showing 91,131 miles on the odometer and with an MOT valid until 21 March 2024 with no advisories, this presents an attractive opportunity to acquire a future classic. Offered with the vehicle is a small history file containing a small collection of previous invoices, the driver’s handbook and the V5C document which displays 6 former keepers.
