A museum-quality 1977 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow I with just one owner and 604 miles from new is going under the hammer with H&H Classics.

The extremely original example, which has been preserved in a climate-controlled garage, will be auctioned on Wednesday 17th June at Kelham Hall in Nottinghamshire and has been estimated at £70,000-£90,000.

Paul Cheetham, senior motor car specialist at H&H Classics, said: “We’re thrilled to be auctioning this time warp Rolls-Royce, surely unrepeatable considering its mileage, ownership and originality.

“While Silver Shadows were built in relatively large numbers and have a high survival rate, we very much doubt that another will come to market that’s as good as this one.”

Purchased new by the vendor from P. J. Evans in Birmingham, it is an extremely original model with concours-winning potential.

Additionally, this highly desirable Rolls-Royce comes with an interesting history file including the original book pack, sales invoice, sales literature, previous MOT certificates and more.

Much of the mileage was completed in the first few months of its life, and it was then driven just a dozen miles a year or less. In 1993, the car was placed into storage showing just 590 miles.

In 1998 it was used at a family wedding, bringing its total mileage to an incredibly low 604.

Clearly having enjoyed a cossetted life thanks to its enthusiast owner, storage has been in a climate-controlled garage, where it has been preserved on axle stands and underneath a tailored cover.

Paul added: “This is a unique opportunity, and we hope the new owner will show this amazing Rolls-Royce from time to time.”

All lots will be available to view in person at Kelham Hall, Newark, from midday on Tuesday 16th June and from 9am on Wednesday 17th June while the sale then commences at 12pm.

Anyone looking to bid on one of the lots can do so in person, online, by telephone or by leaving a commission bid, while for more details about any of the cars or to register to bid, visit www.handh.co.uk.
