Stunning Classic Cars Achieved A £2.2 Million Record Sale

A very strong sale for H&H Classics, was led by this 1934 Bentley 3.5 Litre 'Figoni et Falaschi' Style Tourer, with coachwork by Rod Jolley, which sold for £117,000.

The sale was a new record for H&H Classics at this Buxton venue with £2.2 million.

This delightful 1935 Bentley 3.5 Litre Saloon, with its unique ‘Figoni et Falaschi’ style coachwork by Rod Jolley, has been in the same family ownership for the last 25 years and is well known in the Bentley Drivers Club. It has been subject to extensive works with Michael Hibberd.

This spectacular 1971 Mercedes 600 ‘Grosser’ sold for £95,625.

1962 Chevrolet Corvette sold for £46,125 imported into the UK in 1989 with 56,500 miles made £46,125.

1903 Autocar Model VIII 12hp Two-Cylinder Rear Entrance Tonneau sold for £45,000

The beautiful Autocar, a 119-year-old survivor, has completed numerous London to Brighton and Pioneer Runs. It was a resident of Kansas, USA for many years with Mrs Harriet Russell and then Jasper & Bernice Wiglesworth (sic). It has been in its current family ownership since 2004. It comes to sale with its very distinctive 'TYP 55' registration number.

1963 Austin-Healey 3000 MkII extensively restored sold for £50,625

This charming Austin-Healey turned heads when it was auctioned by H&H Classics, making £50,625

With a reputed 132bhp and 170lbft of torque available, performance was suitably impressive. The American magazine 'Sports Car Illustrated' noted with some delight that the speedometer needle on this car could be wound beyond its final 120mph marking. To cope with such antics, Girling front discs and generous rear drums were fitted as standard. Damian Jones Head of Sales at H&H Classics says: “This is one of the nicest MkIIs we have encountered.”

This lovely 1969 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 Coupe sold for £54,000.

1954 Swallow Doretti one of just 266 made sold for £50,625.
