H&H Classics has revealed an enticing catalogue of classic, collector and performance motorcars for its first sale of 2026 that will see 125 lots being auctioned on Wednesday 18th March.

The Kelham Hall Sale in Newark, Nottinghamshire has a highly desirable, and rare, 1937 Frazer Nash-BMW 328 Roadster, one of just 48 original right-hand drive BMW 328s, among the stand out lots going under the hammer.

Offered at no reserve, its desirability is enhanced with an outstanding history, including some competition use before the war, followed by a highly active post-war life, especially with the present family who acquired it in 1968 and lovingly treated it to a major restoration.

A well provenanced 328, that comes from a total production run of 464, it is a splendid example potentially eligible for several of the historic motoring world’s most significant events, including the Mille Miglia Storica, Le Mans Classic and Goodwood Revival.

There’s also a rare 1936 Frazer Nash-BMW 319/55 Sports, one of only 26, being offered for sale. Estimated at £90,000-£110,000, it has an extensive period competition history and is also eligible for a host of prestigious events, while its collectability is furthered as examples rarely come to market.

James McWilliam, sales manager at H&H Classics, said: “Our first auction of 2026 contains a carefully curated collection of highly desirable and collectable cars, spanning some 90 years.

“We’re really looking forward to just our second sale at Kelham Hall, and if the first one is anything to go by, then it promises to be a great success.”

Other notable lots include a 1983 Aston Martin V8 Vantage ‘V580’, one of just 27 right-hand drive, pre-‘BBS’ facelift examples, given a guide price of £160,000-£190,000, a collector-grade right-hand drive 1970 Mercedes-Benz 280SL, estimated at £110,000-£130,000, and a professionally restored to ‘concours’ standard 1962 Jaguar E-Type 3.8 Coupé, estimated at £100,000-£120,000.

With spring in the air, there’s also a wonderful selection of drop-tops going under the hammer including a 1936 Lagonda LG45 4½-Litre ‘Rapide’ Style Sports Tourer, one of just 93 surviving LG45 cars known to the Lagonda Club, and estimated at £140,000-£180,000.

It is joined by a 1981 Aston Martin V8 Volante, given a guide price of £110,000-£130,000, a 1934 Alvis Speed 20 SC Vanden Plas Tourer, estimated at £80,000-£100,000, and a 1935 Bentley 3½ Litre Park Ward Drophead Coupé, estimated to fetch between £70,000-£90,000, among many others.

Meanwhile, there is sure to be strong interest from Mini enthusiasts and collectors for a 1962 Austin Mini Cooper, subject to a 10 year restoration from 2001 to 2011, and a 1965 Austin Mini Cooper 970 S, one of the rarest and most sought-after Mini variants. Both are estimated at £30,000-£35,000.

As well as the 1937 Frazer Nash-BMW 328 Roadster, there are another 39 no reserve models in the auction, including 12 Bentleys and seven Jaguars.

All lots will be available to view in person at Kelham Hall, Nottinghamshire, from midday on Tuesday 17th and from 9am on Wednesday 18th March, while the sale then commences at 12pm.

Anyone looking to bid on one of the lots can do so in person, online, by telephone or by leaving a commission bid, while for more details about any of the cars or to register to bid, visit www.handh.co.uk.
